Barça to Host Historic Game at Upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday
Barcelona have announced they will play at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou this Saturday. The club will host the Basque side in the Spanish league 30 months since relocating so building work could begin.
“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited but 45,401 spectators are permitted inside under the licence granted. When completed, the Camp Nou is due to hold almost 105,000 spectators, a rise from the old capacity. The club said recent additions comprise a new players’ tunnel along with upgraded changing facilities.
Recent Activities
The club conducted an open training session on the home pitch earlier this month. They mentioned approval is being pursued by UEFA to play their next home Champions League game against Eintracht Frankfurt on 9 December in the renovated venue. Previous fixtures took place at the Olympic Stadium.
